Killer Shrimp Review - A Local Favorite That Creates Innovative Dishes in Marina Del Rey
Once again, local favorite Killer Shrimp has expanded its menu and continues to and cater to its underground following. Killer Shrimp has added about 10 updated or entirely new items to the menu - and we are here for it! Killer Shrimp serves boastful dishes with the killer view of the marina! The interior design may be simple, however that is not reflected on the menu due to the complexity of the stackable flavors!
Originally known for its family recipe for its "killer shrimp original," (a Cajun broth base piled with spices and shrimp,) has expanded menu yet again with even more impressive items such as: scallop sashimi, seared ahi tuna shashimi, grilled hanger steak with scalloped potatoes au gratin and bearnaise sauce, steak kabobs over saffron rice, and more. The filet mignon, onions, red bell peppers, saffron rice and a surprisingly delicious cucumber salad. The "Killer Ice Cream Sundae," is worthy for you to make the trek to Killer Shrimp on its own. Comprised of vanilla, chocolate,, strawberry ice cream, triple layer chocolate cake, hot fudge, whipped cream, caramelized bananas, strawberries, maraschino cherries, oreo cookies, sprinkles, butter finer pieces and mini m&m's. This feast serves up to 4 people for the "smaller" portion or you can opt for the massive and serve up to 8 individuals.
Killer Shrimp infuses spices and creates savory dishes that will instantly change your mind about 'seafood.' To be honest, you can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu. Per standard protocol, the layers of flavors are unreal with each and every dish. Killer Shrimp has always been about taking risks when it comes to its unique menu, which has paid off due to the loyal customer base comprised of mainly locals.
