I experienced a hidden gem in Los Angeles, the Wisdome Immersive Art Park. This Thursday the park was transformed into a Mystic Universe which “offers a fascinating journey beyond the boundaries of space and time to the worlds beyond.” This exhibition explores themes of religion and mythology from all over the world with a touch of design and architecture. This fusion of art and design blends to create this transcendent beautiful world. The Wisdome and this exhibition not only had beautiful art, but there were 15 DJs set to play that night, local food and vendors, and even carnival games for people to play.

The Wisdome is full of different events and surprises, from live events to events inspired by your favorite artist like Daft Punk and David Bowie. This week I was lucky enough to enjoy the escapade of the ‘Mystic Universe’. Traveling through different dimensions while blending art and technology to tell different stories that all come together. Discussing themes of the higher world and realms along with going through scientific theories like The First Law of Thermodynamics, Ying and Yang, The Golden Rule, and much more. These stories and themes were showcased through music, installations, graphic art, and projections all over the numerous domes on site.

The 3 artists that were featured are Luminokaya shared their vision of “contemporary art with a psychedelic twist’. Lunminokaya also states that “we strongly believe in the powerful message of powerful karmic inspiration deriving from various cultural influences, psychedelic soundscapes and technological developments.” The second artist was Julius Horsthuis who is a Dutch digital artist who brought his ‘FRACTALICIOUS’ art to the venue. Horsthuis work was even featured in Forbes and recognized “as one of the 35 best XR experiences of 2019.” The third artist is Ukrainian comic writer and graphic artist Igor Baranki. Together these 3 artists set the tone for this unique experience.

While enjoying the art, Wisdome also booked 15 DJs to play throughout the night. In the courtyard 3 DJ tables were set up and each guest was able to pick up some headphones and take part in a silent disco. If you have never been to a silent disco before, party goers would receive wireless headphones that can have different music broadcasted into the headphones. Partiers could select different channels throughout the whole venue in case you were in the mood for a different vibe. After working up a sweat, guests were able to grab a bite to eat with local, women-owned food truck Srey Vegan. Providing tasty vegan Asian fusion that delivered on health and taste. Another vendor that you could find within the dome New Aura, is a mostly vegan cannabis company whose goal is to share the health benefits of cannabis and CBD. New Aura offered samples of their vegan gummies and locally sourced honey were offered to the guest. The site also had a small store for you to purchase books, jewelry, and even rent clothes to party the rest of your night away.

When exploring the ground this immersive world of art and technology offered time and space to let people dig into their own conciseness and even a dome offering guided meditation. The recurring themes that would come up are life and humanity and what makes us human, compared to the other life that wanders not only in the underworld but in the higher realms throughout the exhibit. Even if this is not your usual weekend plans this venue will not disappoint. Whether you have friends and family coming into town, a date, or just want to spend the day doing something new. Mystic Universe allows you to get introspective while enjoying art that truly speaks to you and even lets you become part of the art itself through physical exhibitions and even Instagram filters.
