Los Angeles - Saturday evening June 22 The Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles was roaring. Fans were singing and the whole night as their rap favorites graced the stage and brought down the house. Cardi B commanded the stage after taking a short hiatus to recover from some recent plastic surgeries. Yung Miami showed off her dance moves 2 weeks after announcing her pregnancy she was still dropping it like it was hot. With the diamonds that can be seen shining all over the stadium and the twerking that these raptresses are known for, the concert didn’t disappoint.

Yung Miami set the tone for the evening by opening the show with their hit song ‘Soakin Wet’ with Atlanta rapper Marlo. Marlo wasn’t the only surprised guest G-Eazy came out looking ready for summer in a colorful hawaiian shirt. The two bounced around stage having a great time. Yung Miami finished off her set with the summer anthems ‘Act up’, the audience rapping the song back her while dancing to the beat. As she was walking off the stage she made sure to give a shout out the other half of the group JT who is currently incarcerated by saying “Free JT, QC until I die,”

Lil Baby, Winner of Best New Artist, at the BET awards was gracious for the support of his fans have given him. Which is something that was evident on Saturday when he performed his chart topping singles like ‘Close Friends’ and ‘ Drip Too Hard’. Minnesota native Lil Yatchy performed Saturday he also had time to joke around with the audience before he closed his set with the song ‘One Night’.

As soon as the Migos got on stage the whole stadium couldn’t stop dancing. You can’t turn on the radio or go out without hearing a Migos single or one of the group members being featured on another hit. All with there own unique style they were able to seamlessly from one hit to the next. Offset could even be seen showing off some of his dance moves. Quavo got the crowd engaged by having everyone do some of their signature adlibs before starting new songs. They were the perfect group to get the crowd hyped and on to their feet.

The Bodak Yellow starlet let everyone know that she is in control of her narrative. Since coming on to the scene Cardi B somehow always finds herself in the tabloids. That is why her latest single ‘Press’ debuted at the perfect time. Her entrance was fit for a boss b****, popping up in the middle of a glimmering staircase in a sparkly purple outfit with sparkly red bottoms to match. She started her set with some of her earlier hits from ‘Gangsta B**** Music Vol 1 & 2’. Then she had to dedicate a few songs to the ladies as she said ‘so we can get in our feelings.’ with songs like ‘Be Careful’ and ‘Ring’ featuring Kehlani.

When that was done she revved it up proclaiming ‘ people forget she was dancing in the strip clubs’ by the next song Cardi has climbed up onto a speaker and was showing out, finishing out with some twerking while in the splits. This mother of one is not letting the motherhood, criminal charges , or anyone for that matter slow her down!

With the surprise guest and powerful performances, there was no better way to get everyone excited for the BET awards the next day. Especially since Cardi and the Migos killed their performances at the award show. Fans were on their feet all night dancing and enjoying the artist. It felt more like a house party than a concert and that just shows that these performers are here to stay!
