Coachella 2018 Recap : Kylie Jenner, French Montana, Charli XCX, Dillon Francis and More Bring the Heat to the Desert
It's comes as no surprise that music and fashion go hand in hand! Most activations take place during the first weekend of Coachella! Check out our review of a few memorable parties during one of the biggest weekends in music!
"KOURT X KYLIE" at Poppy Nightclub's Coachella Pop Up:
Friday evening kicked off the festivities for the weekend! The most notable party for the evening was the launch of "KOURT X KYLIE" by Kylie Jenner. The event took place at Poppy Nightclub and celebs such as Kendall Jenner, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Rihanna and more attended the fete. Kylie showed up rocking pink hair just mere months after giving birth to her first daughter, Stormi Webster, with beau Travis Scott. Earlier in the week Kylie called herself, "a cool mom," ala the hit film, 'Mean Girls.'
The pop up was held to celebrate her new Kourt X Kylie makeup collection, a collaboration between the new mom and her older sister Kourtney Kardashian. The new mom enjoyed her weekend off from mom duties with her beau, Travis Scott and her bestie Jordyn Woods.
GBK Gifting Suite Held at Miramonte Resort:
Presented by Miramonte Resort in Palm Springs, the luxe GBK luxe event was the perfect way to bask in the desert heat while escaping the over-bearing crowds. The lounge brought some fabulous brands with great charitable causes to the forefront while also providing last minute festival inspo with brands like Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics.
Created with 'Coachella' in mind, the brand pays homage to the Southern California culture. Formatted with shimmer and bright hues the kit creates a sun-kissed, laid back and effortless look that is perfect for every skin tone.
As guests made their rounds checking out the latest brands individuals were able to enjoy wines from Ammunition Wines. "Ammunition Wines over delivers on ultra premium quality at an accessible price," states David Dees, Director of Sales for Ammunition Wines. "[We are the] only Wines of the Highest Caliber and we think so highly of that word 'caliber' that it is on the front of our labels. For us it’s always about the world class grapes!" There was plenty of fashion brands on-site for those last minute outfit changes! Maebane Wear, a streetwear line, based in Chicago and Los Angeles. Daniel Wellington showcased it fashionable line of watches. Known for its 'affordable luxury' appeal and minimalistic design and interchangeable straps, the brand retails between $189-229.
Other notable brands include: Bubble Works, 3D Cheeze, Seriously Fab, Swimline, and more.
Lucky Brand Desert Jam:
Held at Arrive Hotel in Palm Springs the second annual Desert Jam featured performances by Harry Hudson and Charli XCX, along with support from Jaira Burns, Naomi Wild and DJ sets from Mr. Best, Wade Crescent, Tolula Adeyemi, and Denise Love Hewett. Guests were able to lounge poolside, check out the latest festival sunnies from Diff Eyewear, and check out some top denim pieces from authentic, all-American denim line Lucky, (you could even get items customized!) Lucky Brand jeans are made for the free-thinker, the artist, the dreamer; they’re made to dance, work, run, jump, and play! The brand prides itself in being a free spirit andvlaid-back lifestyle of Lucky Brand’s Southern California roots.
Charli XCX, most widely known for her hit single 'Boom Clap' and writing the single “Fancy” for Iggy Azalea took the stage in 90's denim, obvs Lucky Denim. The performance came mere hours before she was set to perform at Coachella! Fans of XCX have seen her transform from punk-grunge to red carpet glam and 90s fashion! They style revolution is just as impressive as her talent musically.
The party kept the menu simple almost like a backyard BBQ by offering bites such as hot dogs and light fare such as orange-marinated cauliflower while sipping on Omission Beer and Jack Daniels cocktails. The party definitely made a splash and kept attendees intrigued until closing time!

Pandora Indio- Invasion:
Pandora once again teamed up with T-Mobile to bring the Pandora Indio Invasion to the desert!
The event created a tropical oasis for attendees! Surrounded by greenery with touches of a variety of pinks set the tone for the retreat style party. The event had tons of photo opportunities and lounge room which truly encapsulated the spirit of the event. The light summer cocktail menu had a few refreshing offerings perfect for the high heats. Guests were able to snack on light bites and desserts while either taking a quick dip in the pool or laying out and basking in the sun!
As if that wasn't reason enough to check out this event perhaps the high-energy DJ set by Dillon Francis will change your mind.
CombsFest x nANA jUDY:
One of the most memorable events of the weekend was the nANA jUDY weekend takeover! Over the course of the 3-day festival nANA jUDY did not miss a beat! From day parties to night performances this was the party of the weekend and is definitely making a name for itself as a premiere party to attend while in the desert for Coachella!
The party, which was held in Bermuda dunes, took place and was the place to be! At one point there was a line stretched 2 miles long as people turned up early anticipating the event!
The king of Hip Hop Puff Daddy (P-Diddy) turned up and was captured parting for hours in the NANA JUDY Cabana with his girlfriend Cassie Ventura. They were seen kissing, dancing and having a good time. Set on a large property with Cadillacs, cabanas and complete with an airport hangar, The hangar transformed into a stage hosted by Diddy’s sons Justin and Christian Combs which featured international super star Lil Wayne performing to the guests which went crazy over him.
Over the rest of the weekend celebs such as: French Montana, YG, Lil Pump, ZHU, Eric Morillo, Shawn Ross, Scotty James, and more came straight to the after party. At one point “Typical Psycho” singer Katie Welch and grammy nominated “No Filter” singer Gabe Roland performed on Sunday!
