Composed of Justin Jennings and Joseph Vitterito, Flaunt needs no introduction as they have earned many accolades. They won the Independent Music Award for 2014 New Discovery Artist and New Music Weekly nominated Flaunt for three New Music Awards — Group of the Year, New Hot AC Artist and Favorite Crossover Artist. The first week out, “Have I Made My Point” was the # 1 Most Added on both the National Radio Hits and New Music Weekly AC Charts.
The band just released their latest album "Rave Noir", which has many singles that you may be accustomed to, as well as new sounds. On the album, they cover an Ann-Margret song, "You Sure Know How to Hurt Someone", which was never released. Carefully recreated the song itself has a upbeat vintage 60s vibe to it. The video was directed by Christopher Arcella and stars Amari Cheaton (Django Unchained).
The opening song, "Rave" is mesmerizing and has a very mysterious feel to it. With a voice similar to Brandon Boyd of Incubus, it's difficult to not be intrigued and continue listening. Definitely an attention grabber this was a smart move to draw the listener in to the rest of the album.
"I Don't Wanna Fall Asleep" is another admirable song on the album. Seeming to pay homage to early rock legends with a simple but powerful beat.
The 18-track album, Rave Noir, blends electronic and soft melodies and is an exceptional compilation of their work thus far. When asked about the album they state, "we wanted to make an album that was reminiscent to some extent of what radio used to sound like... Where a Zeppelin tune would be followed by a hit single by the Little River Band and then something by the Gap Band."
