Who doesn't like anything that stems from Salt Lake City? Punk-Rock group, The Departure, released their latest single, "Gateways", which is getting all of the accolades. 

The Departure have played many festivals to date. They played at the Utah Arts Festival Bonanza Campout 2016 with Cold War Kids. They have opened for: A Day To Remember, Hotel Books, Oceans Ate Alaska, Assuming We Survive, Neon Trees, Capital Cities, Phantogram, Cold War Kids

The feel of "For The Best" is very early 2000s punk group with lyrics such as, "Nothing is left here but songs and hatred because they're the only things i know. No one knows me because i don't them and i don't known how." It's very emo punk rock group-ish.

"Leave me alone, faceless feax," is the opener of their single, Gateways. The single has a dark feeling with heavy instrumentals. Very similar to the group Hoobastank.

The Departure is composed of: Ryan DeBlanc, Max Hedding, Gavin Allein ,Aidan McDonald, Dylan Proesch. The overall album has guitar rhythms similar to Fall Out Boy and Cold War Kids, The Departure are giving music lovers just what they want - music.
