If you enjoy the sounds of the early 90s, teenage rock music then you will love the latest from Space Cadets! Originally from Los Angeles, Space Cadets recently released their self-titled EP and it's bringing back all the feels.
Composed of Dan Creed, John Cocco, and Zachary Wexelman, Space Cadets, has been described as 'pop for loners.' This album, their sophomore effort, was recorded with James Ingram. Ingram has worked with: blink-182, Tyler the Creator, The Transplants, Mike Posner, and many more. His body of work is clearly shown within this album. One of my favorites from their latest is, "Kissing." It's a simple song, yet enough, that puts you at ease listening to it. The single is almost a one-sided conversation over music, which we have all had. Seems very Matchbox Twenty of them.
Space Cadets have toured the west coast in June 2016 (LA up to Seattle - included LA, San Francisco, Oakland, Boise, and Seattle), and headlined a show at The Hotel Cafe in LA on August 26th, 2016.
The album brings a missing component to the music industry today. I can imagine myself cruising down the PCH, my inner 15-year-old self, and basking in the sun listening to Space Cadets. Their overall sound is similar to early stage Sublime - and who can complain about that?
Take a listen at the video of their single, "Kissing," and let us know your thoughts!
