Identify LA: What prompted you to create The Feelist?

Shea Marie: I’ve always been conscious of my health and eating well and as clean as possible. Learning that your skin is your biggest organ, it really made me realize that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put inside of it. I’m a huge believer in superpowered botanical ingredients and clean and transparent formulas - and that was the impetus to start The Feelist.

IDLA: Congrats on the launch of the Most Wanted Radiant Face Oil. How is it unlike any other item on the market?

SM: As we were researching and formulating our products, we kept learning more about the incredible benefits of CBD in helping acne and other skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. We knew we wanted to create a facial product that was as natural as possible, so it was then that we started playing around with the idea of a face oil. Some members of our team were reluctant as face oils don’t work well with every skin type, so we started working on it almost as an experiment. Our goal was to formulate a blend that truly worked for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin. It’s safe to say we’ve already converted a lot of people. That's why we started calling it “the Face Oil for people who can’t use face oils.”

IDLA: Can you discuss the formulation? Why CBD? Why do these products work so well together?

SM: In the midst of my clean beauty research, I started reading about the amazing and promising early benefits that CBD was showing in skincare. More and more research was coming out showing that CBD is even more effective when applied topically due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It was hard to find a trustworthy product though- things were a bit suspicious to say the least, your options back then were really limited to a yellow/brown goop in a jar that looked like it was made in someone's garage. But the reviews and the feedback on these homemade products was astounding. I read a study about how CBD was helping people with arthritis. I sent some to my aunt who had been suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis for years and taking pain medication every day, she called me a month later crying telling me it changed her life. I think that was really the moment I was like wow nature is incredible and really dove into researching more about CBD, and other superpowered high-performing botanicals.

IDLA: There is literally a product for everything. More often than not our vanities are overrun with beauty products. Is this THE product that does the job of 5? How does this product make space on your vanity?

SM: In formulating our face oil, we chose oils that serve a multitude of different skin issues and are non-comedogenic, so they won’t clog your pores. We source only the highest quality oils, including 500mg of Broad Spectrum CBD which is fantastic not only for inflammation but also for soothing irritated , stressed out skin. CBD is definitely a super botanical on its own, but if you put it in a base or oil blend that doesn’t support the same benefits and the overall microbiome of your face, you are not going to get the same results. Most Wanted is a blend of luxurious, high-performing oils that work together harmoniously. Most Wanted has completely taken the place of my moisturizer and made my skincare routine really easy but effective. Any way that I am able to simplify my life is so important- running two businesses doesn’t leave you with a lot of time to get ready! It’s made me realize that sometimes with your skin less is more, and my skin has never felt clearer and more balanced. After washing my face, I put 4-5 drops in the palm of my hand and press it into my skin. It is fantastic not only for your face but also for your neck, cuticles, and elbows. I use the oil morning and night- the best feeling is waking up to plump, hydrated, and clear skin.
