This past weekend attendees fled to Liberty Station in San Diego for the San Diego Beer and Music Festival! With over 100 craft brews on site - the event struck a chord for many!
Craft brews and crews - check! Liberty Station was filled to the brim with attendees who anxiously ran through the fest gearing their palettes for the many flavors of beers on site. From light Pilsners and balanced Lagers to fruitful IPAs and Stouts, there was something for everyone.
Flavor didn't stop at the beverages, guests were able to enjoy delectable bites from about 10 of the cities top food trucks. Louziana Food, who brought a few Cajun staples to the west coast. Along with Dang Brother Wood Fired Pizza, Haad Sai Thai, and Buqqa were amongst some of the favorites on site.
In between brews and chews guests were able to jam out to live music from a Linkin Park Tribute Band and Sega Genecide 90's Cover Band. Attendees also were amped to try the newly released Rock Star Beer/Mad River Collaboration Beer, Mad Lemonz.
"Exposure, is one of the main reasons we decided to do this festival," stated a representative from Sudwerk Brewing Company. While there were some newer beers with interesting flavors such as Orangesicle and Peanut Butter, there were some classics on site as well. "We are the funky bad ass best friend of beer that everyone knows and loves," stated Sammy, a Field Marketing Representative for Lagunitas.
Hansen's Natural Sodas, Lost Coast, 2 Towns Ciderhouse, Rough Draft, were amongst a few of our favorites. Novo Brazil showcased its dry hopped lager and its mango IPA.
Sponsored by All in Limo and Party Bus Service, this particular event was a collaborative effort of Rockstarbeer Productions and local breweries that combined to raise money for San Diego 501c3 Non-Profit, Coastal Conservation Association, (CCA.) CCA started in 1977 and strives to assist with overfishing along the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Seaboard, and the Pacific Northwest.
It was a festival full of infusion perfect for the beer aficionado! If you missed this particular event don't stress, because there are plenty more around the corner. With events spanning from San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Portland, Denver, Riverside, Long Beach, and Scottsdale - there will be plenty to choose from!
