Demi Lovato gave the world a scare the morning of Tuesday, July 24th. The "Confident" singer was rushed to a local LA hospital for an 'alleged' overdose.

Widely known as a vocal powerhouse who has had many #1 singles such as, "I'm Sorry, Not Sorry," "Complicated," and many more has recently had a unfortunate overdose. Since the beginning the starlet has been very open about her struggles with addiction. In 2010, she entered treatment, where she was treated for bipolar disorder, bulimia, self-harm and addiction. She relapsed after she left the treatment center, then entered a sober living facility for a year. All the while being completely transparent with her fans and loved ones, she was clean for six years.

Lovato even stated on The Ellen DeGeneres show,

“[My sobriety anniversary] means so much to me because I feel like the day that I got sober was the day that I actually started living and so I like to call myself five years old. I’ve decided to be open about my story and share everything that I’ve been through because it helps others. And I’ve had several people come up to me and say, ‘Hey, my dad got sober because you did.’ or ‘I got sober because you did.’ And it just is so meaningful and impactful to me that I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Her relapse does not come as a surprise to some as she speaks of it in her latest single, "Sober."

“Mama, I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore / And daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor/ And I’m sorry for the fans I lost who watched me fall again / I wanna be a role model, but I’m only human.”

At this time the family, of course, the family asks for privacy but has confirmed she is awake and surrounded by family. She has received numerous tweets and nothing but love and support from fans and fellow celebs.

“Like all of you I am thinking of @DDLovato right now. She needs our prayers and support. We all know how strong you are Demi. #prayfordemi,” tweeted ex Joe, who dated Lovato in 2010.

His brother Nick, 25, added he was “reeling at the news about Demi.”

“All of us love her and need to pray for her to get well. She is a fighter. #prayfordemi,” he wrote on Twitter and Instagram Story. Singer Ariana Grande tweeted her support to the 25-year-old pop star, writing, “I love u @ddlovato.”

We are all human and make errors. We are all here to support each other during difficult times, and the good. Here's to hoping Lovato can surround herself with love, support, and hope in order to heal.
