Bumble Study Finds That More Than 90% of People are Unsure of What To Do This Valentine’s Day
2020 has been an unprecedented year, to say the least, and it has upended norms for us all – from our living situations (hello, Mom and Dad), to our dating habits (bring on virtual romance). As COVID-19 continues to loom, Valentine's Day will also look a little different. However there are still plenty of ways to 'woo' the apple of your eye!
The popular dating app, Bumble is encouraging its community to have a virtual night-in this year through a curated collection of Airbnb Online Experiences in order to provide consumers with support to navigate their Valentine’s Day during a time of social distancing.
In a recent study from Bumble, the women-first social networking app has found that more than 90% of daters are unsure of what to do this Valentine’s Day, as a majority feel that the holiday will be different this year due to the pandemic.
Recently Airbnb will release a collection of Bumble-approved Online Experiences, which range from an interactive game night at the Louvre Museum in Paris to a hidden jazz club with live performances from Spanish musicians. These experiences will be accessible for anyone to book by visiting airbnb.com/love. Additional Online Experiences within the Bumble collection include:
An Irishman's Guide to Irish Whiskey (Galway, Ireland)
Aurora Hunting in Iceland (Reykjavík, Iceland)
Gypsy Flamenco Fiesta & Dance Lesson (Seville, Spain)
African Cuisine In Quarantine (Caledonia, United States)
Fun Argentine Wine Class with Local Somm (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
Restorative Contact for Pairs & Groups (New York, United States)
“We’ve found that over 60 percent** of daters are expecting the desire to travel to be a top conversation topic this year, especially as travel restrictions continue to prevail in various countries,” said Jemma Ahmed, Bumble’s Head of Insights. “We also know that 83 percent** of people are planning to use dating apps just as much as they do now – if not more – through Valentine’s Day 2021, and one in three people* are open to going on a first date on Valentine’s Day this year. With this in mind, we wanted to offer our community the opportunity to experience activities from all corners of the world – all while connecting with someone in a safe, fun, and interactive way.”
Pandemic or not, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Valentine's Day- safely! Thanks to these coveted virtual experiences - the world is your oyster!
