Crustacean Beverly Hills Unveils the Glamorous Anna May Bar
Crustacean Beverly Hills has been a successful part of Los Angeles highly competitive dining scene for the past 20 years. The high-end establishment is simply the who’s who of dining in Beverly Hills. The prime location serves top-tier seafood creations that are simply intristic, unique, and almost to pretty to eat. Now the establishment has launched its equally impressive bar concept, Anna May. Anna May recently made its debut and highlights the beloved items at Crustacean in a new light.
A pioneering entity in itself, the House of An is a leading hospitality group of multi-concept establishments run by the An family. Since its inception, four generations of An family women have run the House of AN spanning more than forty years in the restaurant business. In fact, the Smithsonian Asian Pacific Center awarded House of AN co-founder/ executive chef Helene An with the Pioneer Award in Culinary Arts.
Donning high ceilings, tons of glamorous lights complete with table settings that can offer an intimate hideaway, Anna May is a beautiful concept that gives guests the opportunity to try a bit of Crustacean at a consumer friendly price point.
The well-curated menu was intentional and crafted to highlight the evolution of the longstanding brand. “We’ve had such loyal patrons over the years, but as times passes, so do the palates of the next generation of Crustacean diners,” states House of AN CEO Elizabeth An. “What we’re unveiling at Anna May Bar is the evolution of Crustacean while paying homage to fellow Asian-American women that helped pave the wave for our family to succeed and make waves within our own industry, four-generations-strong.” Elizabeth continues, “Anna May Bar is the House of AN’s newest addition to the family, so she’s not afraid to welcome a little mischief and playfulness. We’re hoping the smaller bite sizes and more affordable price points will appeal to the younger, next generation of patrons where we offer them a taste of Crustacean, whether they stay for dinner or stop by Anna May’s before heading out for a night on the town.”
From the most tender cuts of filet mignon to a melt in your mouth crab toast, Anna Mae has impeccable dishes that are crave-worthy. The tuna cigar tacos are a fun twist on a cuban cigar! Delivered in a smoking cuban cigar box and brought table side, the smoky ‘cigars’ are packed to the brim of flavor. The cocktail menu is equally impressive. The combination of flavors in each beverage is in a league of its own not to mention the over the top display for each well-curated beverage.
Heralded as the “mother of fusion” cuisine, House of AN’s Master Chef Helene An and her signature Euro-Vietnamese fusion cuisine will remain a constant inspiration at the Anna May Bar at Crustacean Beverly Hills. “The cocktails are a reflection of pairing Asian spice and flavors that possess wellness traits but also make well-balanced cocktails, going back to Chef Helene An’s yin and yang cooking philosophy,” An explains. “Expect numerous classic cocktails with exotic ingredients found nowhere else. Anna May Wong is also a classic star of the silver screen who still resonates fame to this day; that’s why we named our cocktails after her most prominent movies.”
The standout drink of the bar is of course, “The Anna May,” which consists of Dos Hombres Mezcal, Aperol, Beychaud Bitters and Champagne Yuzu Foam. Another new cocktail being introduced at the Anna May Bar is the "Midnight Caller,” made of Song Cai Vietnamese Gin, Sake, Butterfly Tea, and Lavender bitters. The intoxicating establishment complete with an exotic explosion of of flavors from the dishes to the cocktails, a nightcap at Anna May is always a good idea. An evening here will leave you feeling like the main star in your very own Hollywood film.
