The Waterfront Blues Festival Returns to Downtown Portland

The Waterfront Blues Festival is upon us! This fantastic event is set to take place July 4th-7th at the scenic Tom McCall Waterfront Park, located in the heart of Downtown Portland. It's the ultimate way to celebrate the 4th of July while immersing yourself in a diverse range of incredible music performances. Come and be a part of this unforgettable celebration!

Regarded as the gem of Portland, this festival offers music, food, drinks, and a fireworks display against the beautiful backdrop of the waterfront park.

The world-class lineup of legendary performers and up-and-coming artists pushing the boundaries of blues, bluegrass, soul, rock, funk, R&B and so much more. 2024 headliners include St. Paul & The Broken Bones on Thursday, Lucinda Williams and Margo Price on Friday, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals on Saturday, and Greensky Bluegrass on Sunday, and 100 other performances across 4 stages during the 4-day festival.

More than music, guests have the opportunity to really get ingrained with all that Portland has to offer. Local vendors will be on-site at the Marketplace showcasing unique goods.  From handmade guitars to sunglasses, jewelry, wall art, portrait drawing, records and music memorabilia, and so much more. The festival also has a curated selection of eateries to satisfy your cravings. Whether you're in the mood for the classics like tacos, pizza, and BBQ or in the mood to try a variety of flavors from Eastern African cuisine or Southern specialties, there will be something for everyone. For those looking to expand their festival journey, there are a variety of experiences to enjoy. There will be yoga, blues cruises, dance lessons, and more. Be sure to check the website if extra tickets are needed to enjoy.

The Waterfront Blues Festival fully produces Portland’s largest, and Downtown Portland’s only, July 4th Fireworks show, lasting more than 20 minutes! The fireworks launch from a barge in the middle of the Willamette River right in front of the festival, and can be viewed from around the city, choreographed to classic and new blues and rock hits.
