Tampa Billionaire Gave Away Truckloads Of Trendy Sneakers To The Boys & Girls Club
CEO Patrick Carroll is one of Miami's most prominent real estate investors with over 30,000 properties in his portfolio. The self-made tycoon gave away $100,000 worth of the season's most sought-after sneakers to underprivileged kids in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday November 15th. This was Carroll’s second charitable giveaway following Miami. Carroll commissioned famed sneaker aficionado, Ben Kickz, aka the Sneaker Don, to bring a Brinks truck filled with 600 pairs of high-end sneakers to distribute to members of Miami's Boys & Girls Club, a charity which Carroll serves on the board.
Patrick Caroll continues his nationwide campaign to give away $1 million worth of sneakers at ten Boys & Girls club locations across the US. His next step will be in Atlanta. The day was quite a success seeing the boys and girls faces light up with upon receiving their sneakers. Patrick Carroll also enlisted the help of some celebrity friends to come help distribute the shoes including; Gia Skova, Selling Tampa’s Juawana Colbert, Selling Tampa’s Tennille Moore, and Riley Opelka (Pro Tennis Player).
Growing up in Florida, Carroll relied on The Boys & Girls Club and their facilities to play basketball. "Knowing firsthand how aspirational having the right pair of sneakers can be to a kid in need, it’s incredible to see the looks on these kid's faces when we pull up in that truck," said the 43-year-old.
