Megan Thee Stallion, Chance the Rapper, Lil Uzi Vert and More Bring the Heat at Rolling Loud LA
This past weekend the world’s largest hip-hop festival, Rolling Loud, made its rounds to Los Angeles. Taking over the great city of LA for the third consecutive year, the two-day, three-stage festival had a stacked lineup of over 100 artists.
Taking place at Exposition Park’s Banc of California stadium, everyone from new artists to well-known Grammy winners took over the stages to turn up for the culture!
The festival was fueled by celebrity-favorite Cannabis/lifestyle brand, West Coast Cure. The Los Angeles-based West Coast Cure was hand-picked by Rolling Loud founders to participate in the festival as both not only represent their core audience, but they also want to focus on introducing their exclusive brands to the mainstream market.
"Music and Weed go hand in hand. They belong together as they make each other better. The same goes with our relationship with Rolling Loud. Our brands share core values and support the culture from our respective industries," Jerett Wasserman (Co-founder, Brand visionary/curator stated. "Together, we create the place where artist and fans come together to celebrate music, freedom and the ability to live life on your own terms. That is the essence of what WCC stands for."
Chance the Rapper, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, and Lil Baby headlined on Friday evening while Future, ASAP Rocky, Meek Mill, YG, Playboi Carti headlined on Sunday.
Friday was the just the start of the main event. Chance the Rapper held a 45-minute set which some may say was bleak, however the artist is consistent and didn't disappoint.
Over the weekend many artists paid tribute to the late Juice WRLD. However one of the most anticipated moment of the evening was when Ally Lotti, Juice WRLD’s longtime girlfriend, gave some remarks, in the aftermath of the tragedy.
"I just wanted to come out here and let everyone know that Jarad loved every single person that he helped on this earth,” she said, using Juice’s given name. “He literally loved every single one of you guys. There is not a time when he had shown me any different love than he felt for you." The tribute was heart-wrenching. Through a shaky voice and dark-rimmed glasses Ally shared some inspiring remarks. She walked off the stage with the audience’s support, as chants of “Ally!” trailed her.
Other highlights over the weekend was of course, Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat who lit up the stage with female empowerment.
The Los Angeles installment follows Rolling Loud events in Australia, Miami and the Bay Area. In October, the brand will expand for its first-ever editions in New York City and Hong Kong.
