The 16th Annual Zimmer Children's Museum Discovery Awards Dinner:
The 16th Annual Zimmer Children’s Museum Discovery Awards Dinner took place last night, Tuesday November 15th at The Skirball Cultural Center. The event was hosted by Terrence Jenkins, with renowned talk show host Dr. Phil McGraw, and Scooter Braun as presenters.
The star-studded evening honored Vanessa and Darryl Frank, and Aaron Rosenberg and Danny Rose for their outstanding contributions to the Zimmer Museum and their community. Katharine McPhee and Amanda Righetti were just a couple of the celebrities that stopped by to show their support for the cause.
Vanessa Frank is a philanthropic community leader whose work at the I Have A Dream Foundation benefits elementary students, while Darryl Frank is the Co-President and Executive Producer at Amblin Television. Vanessa and Darryl are both new champions of the Zimmer and are committed to helping families raising children of integrity and honor. Aaron Rosenberg is a partner at Myman Greenspan Fineman Fox Rosenberg & Light LLP, representing high profile clients in the music industry and Danny Rose is an executive television producer. Both Danny and Aaron have devoted significant time and resources to political and humanitarian causes, including GLAAD, the DNC, and Cindy Lauper’s True Colors Fund.
On Dobel Time with Maestro Dobel Tequila:
Last night, actor and Scream Queens’ star Glen Powell along with LA insiders celebrated On Dobel Time – Maestro Dobel Tequila’s multi-city program, which takes guests on a journey into the world of time pieces in partnership with Hodinkee, a leader in original horology content.
Held at Greenhouse at Platform LA, the space was portioned into the shape of a clock face that featured 5 visually stunning bars, representing stops in time. The evening featured revered, handpicked collector wrist watches curated by Hodinkee's founder Benjamin Clymer and paired with Maestro Dobel’s meticulously crafted variants to highlight the art and precision of both spirit and time. Maestro Dobel Silver, Maestro Dobel Reposado, Maestro Dobel Añejo, Maestro Dobel Humito and the complicated rule breaker Maestro Dobel Diamante, were each paired with collector watches, including 1940’s Rolex Datejust Reference 1601, Vetta Triple-Calendar With Chronograph, 1970’s Breitling ‘sprint’ Reference 2016, 1960’s Piaget Reference 12303, and 1960’s Patek Philippe Calatrava Reference 3445 in Yellow Gold as they exhibited the properties most represented by each expression.
Delicious cocktails, breathtaking collector watches, and music by DJ Eric D-Lux Lux made for a perfect night worth stopping the clock for.
Closing Out the Night Was the Newest Hotspot, Nightingale:
Last night, celebrities gathered to Los Angeles’ newest hotspot, Nightingale, for an exclusive evening with Beats by Dre presented by DJ Khaled. The host of the evening arrived with his entourage as they made their way through the packed party to the DJ booth. The “We The Best” music producer hopped behind the turntables thanking everyone for their support before he spun a medley of his hits including, “I Got the Keys,” “All I Do is Win” and “For Free” while Snapchatting the crowd. Brody Jenner was spotted sans fiancée Kaitlynn Carter for a boy’s night out. Meanwhile, Khaled kept the club’s energy at an all time high bringing up Too $hort to perform “Blow the Whistle,” building anticipation for his next special surprise performance with Travis Scott. The “Pick Up the Phone” artist and Saint Laurent’s new muse, closed out the night jumping on the DJ booth for a special performance with various tracks from his recent album, “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.” After wrapping his set, Scott gave a special shout out to Beats and DJ Khaled for the evening and made an exclusive announcement for his upcoming tour and pop-up shop that is set to launch in Los Angeles.
