Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles Builders Ball Review - Honors the Legendary 'Sugar' Ray Leonard

The Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles recently honored “Sugar” Ray Leonard, Luc Robitaille and Morley Builders at the 2017 Los Angeles Builders Ball.

Held at the prestigious Beverly Hilton Hotel guests were invited to celebrate the positive strides that have been made thus far with Habitat for Humanity. 

"We build walls not to divide, but to provide," President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity, Erin Rank, stated during her opening remarks.

Over the course of the evening attendees learned how Habitat for Humanity has enriched the lives of Karou Mulvihill's family, a local family in Culver City. "To be selected for a wheelchair accessible home in Culver City is truly a dream come true," shares Karou. "The open concept floor plan will allow Kendall to move freely throughout the first floor, alleviating the physical demands on our family and empowering him to live more independently."

Amongst the hard work there are a few celebrities who have were being honored for their support that exemplifies the spirit of Habitat for Humanity and it's mission.

Sugar Ray Leonard accepted the Dream Builder Award and Luc Robitaille accepted the Foundation Builder Award at the Habitat LA 2017 Los Angeles Builders Ball this year!

Tina Knowles-Lawson  was in attendance and gushed over her adorable grandkids Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir!

Additional celebrities in attendance included: Kelly Rutherford, Kate Linder, Tom Schwartz, Chris Strandburg, John Savage, Victoria Summer, Cookie Johnson, Raney Branch, Lindsay McCormick, Areva Martin, Charles Muttillo, and more.   

Through continuous donations and hard work Habitat for Humanity strives to help build a better future for families.

The evening closed with a high energy performance by classic group, En Vogue. Guests grooved to their hits My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It) and Free Your Mind. 

Over the years through donations and continuous support Habitat for Humanity has been able to build the great or Los Angeles area.
