Elf on the Shelf Drive-Thru Experience - Spreading Holiday Cheer, Safely
I can officially say, if 2020 were a movie right now it’d be “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” That is, if the “rona” was The Grinch. With LA on lock-down again, Angelenos are trying to find ways to get in the ‘holiday spirit.’ The Elf on the Shelf’s Magical Holiday Journey, the search is over.
I know what you’re thinking…being on our second lock down, the main question is “have the elves been quarantining?” The Lumistella Company, home of The Elf on the Shelf®, has received a verified statement from Santa Claus regarding the matter: "All Scout Elves are 100% healthy, and since they are magical beings from the North Pole, they do not get human sicknesses and do not need to quarantine or wear masks; But they do like to set a good example for humans and may choose to model safety protocols for their families. In a year when many are longing for a comforting return to the celebrations of the season, Santa's Scout Elves are ready to bring joy and good cheer to all!" Thank goodness, because we’ll need every little bit of cheer we can get this year!
“Bringing an experience that expands on the beloved stories, characters and themes of The Elf on the Shelf ® to life, particularly in a year when we are all in need of extra cheer, means the world to us,” Christa Pitts and Chanda Bell, founders and co-CEOs of The Lumistella Company, the company behind The Elf on the Shelf ® , said in a joint statement. “The profound magic of the holidays and the way it enlightens and excites both children and adults are why we first wanted to share The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition with the world.”
Designed by David Korins, award-winning creative director and set designer of the original Broadway productions of “Hamilton,” “Beetlejuice,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” and the Oscars 2019 and directed by Vance Garrett, Chief Creative Officer, Constellation Immersive, whose production highlights include “Sleep No More” and “29 Rooms,” The Elf on the Shelf’s Magical Holiday Journey aims to offer an enchanted escape by way of a multi-sensory marvel, complete with a spirit-stirring score and a light-filled spectacle.
The favorite holiday-tradition game, Elf on the Shelf comes to life with this drive-thru journey. Located in Pomona, the hour-long experience is puts on its best efforts to get everyone in the holiday spirit. Attendees will be put on a quest to fix Santa’s sleigh, with the help of many magical elf’s!
It’s fun for all ages! Guests will be dazzled by the entire light-up experience that takes it up a notch with live actors as well. You can expect a few naughty and a few nice elves along the journey. While some elves stick to the task at hand others may or may not be spilling cookies and milk (in a sad attempt to delay fixing Santa’s sleigh!) You’ll see elves showcasing their talents to put a smile on your face, juggling pins, balancing on a tightrope of oversized lights, being mischievous —and even one who’ll accept your letter to Santa.
With the pandemic continuing to loom, creators had to get crafty quick in-order to spread some holiday cheer. The experience will be here until January 3rd! Grab your tickets today!
