eBay Marks All-Star Weekend with First-Ever Baseball Trading Card Draft

eBay, the marketplace where one sports trading card is sold every second, hosted “Vault Stars,” its first-ever live baseball trading card draft celebrating MLB All-Star weekend, and the recent launch of the eBay vault: a 31-thousand square foot, 24/7 secured facility and digital marketplace for trading card collectors that streamlines the buying and selling process.

“I’ve been a baseball fan my entire life. My grandma used to get me an 8-box set for Christmas every year when I was a kid, which led to me collecting baseball cards on eBay,” said Miles Teller. “Having Chase – who I’ve been a fan of since he played for the Phillies – guide me through picking my Vault Stars lineup was exciting, and with eBay’s new vault I know my cards will be safe and secure. It’s a gamechanger for me as a trading card collector.”

The event featured actor and baseball fanatic Miles Teller, assisted by World Series Champion and former All-Star second baseman Chase Utley, selecting his ultimate card lineup to send to the eBay vault. His selection included five rare rookie cards showcasing the ease and peace of mind the eBay vault provides trading card collectors and enthusiasts. Totaling $23,813.95, Teller selected and purchased the following baseball cards from eBay for his Vault Stars Collection, all of which now reside in the eBay vault:
