Deon Cole, Tammy Townsend, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, and More Attend the BET+ Premiere Party for "Average Joe"
Recently celebrs gathered in Los Angeles to celebrate the premiere of the latest BET+ series, “Average Joe.” The evening included the dynamic cast of the new series including Deon Cole (“Joe Washington”), Tammy Townsend (“Angela Washington”), Michael Trucco (“Benjamin ‘Touch’), Cynthia Kaye McWilliams (“Cathy Montgomery”), Malcolm Barrett (“Leon Montgomery”), Ashley Olivia Fisher (“Jennifer Washington”), and Pasha Lychnikoff (“Nicolai Dzhugashvili”) and and executive producers Corey Marsh and Deborah Evans, and directors Eric Dean Seaton (also an EP) and Marshall Tyler for a celebrity-filled evening at the kickoff for House of BET. Opening remarks were given by BET CEO and President Scott Mills and EVP and GM of BET+ Devin Griffin.

Curated Exhibitions: From iconic vinyl museums honoring the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop and its most influential voices, to activation rooms and replicas of some of the show's most memorable moments like the iconic basement and money table that capture the essence of the darkly comedic drama series.
There was a Rap City Studio Activation on site! The activation served as an interactive music activation that allowed guests to record songs and conduct rap sessions with premade beats of their own or from a selection, as part of an celebratory nod to hip-hop. Check out the event recap below!
The BET+ Original new series of AVERAGE JOE debuts exclusively on BET+ on June 26, with new episodes dropping weekly on Thursdays.

AVERAGE JOE stars Deon Cole, Tammy Townsend, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Malcolm Barrett, Michael Trucco and Ashley Olivia Fisher, among others. Cole’s “Joe Washington” embarks on an engrossing journey through a violent chain of events that test the limits of family relationships, friendships when millions of dollars (owed to dangerous people) and lives are at stake. The series is inspired by the life of Robb Cullen, who executive produces the series alongside McG.
