Post Death Soundtrack Soon to be Releasing Their Latest Album, The Unlearning Curve
After a 3-year hiatus, Post Death Soundtrack, have finally created more music and will be releasing their latest album, The Unlearning Curve, on May 27th. Composed of Kenneth Buck, Steve Moore and Jon Ireson, their latest album will be available as a free download as well as in limited edition vinyl format.
This is the first album after their debut album, Music as Weaponry, released in 2008 and earned top reviews from publications such as Industrial.org, Side-line Magazine and Sphere Magazine who called the record "a chaotic concoction of crossover madness" adding "this is the soundtrack to your escape from the average". Their latest album is sure to get another round of amazing reviews.
Album opener, "That Which Is", is mysterious and very true to their sound as a whole. Dark lyrics are the body of this single, followed by the simple instrumental. What seems like an inner battle within oneself, "That Which Is" almost has a garage punk sound that keeps its simplicity interesting.
Another interesting single, "Little Alice", enters into another realm of energy that the band delivers. With an enchanting twisted carnival theme, listeners can actually visualize this single. "Through The Gates", another twisted single that challenges its listeners. This single is intriguing and doesn't demand attention, it commands it and could definitely be tied to any film created by Stephen King.
Overall the album was definitely worth the wait. Mastered at Suite Sound Labs in Vancouver and the album cover art created by Kayla Aileen Brown, Post Death Soundtrack fans will enjoy the variety of styles and genres explored on this 9-track album.
