Having a continuous sting of releasing chart toppers year after year, singer/songwriter Eric Anders recently released his latest album, Big World Abide: The Best of Eric Anders. Paying homage to his relaxed roots of San Francisco, the style of this album is carefree and effortless and similar to Jack Johnson. Listeners will get carried away while listening to this album.

Previous albums from Anders, Not At One (2003), Songs For Wayward Days (2004), More Regrets (2005) and Tethered to the Ground (2006), gained major accolades and attention from many in the music industry as an 'artist to watch', and the single "so wrong," was used in feature film, Man in the Chair. "big world abide" used in TV Show "Dirt," starring Courtney Cox.

Listeners can expect to see the growth and journey of Anders as an artist with this album as it compiles a few favorites from the past albums.

The single, "These People", is similar style of Jack Johnson. The simplicity of it is alluring and captivating. A few of the lyrics such as, "These people gave me life. Lived in color now black and white," are so simple, yet captivating and is one of his stronger singles on the album in my opinion. Another interesting single, "Remembering on my Own", has an innocent adolescent feel to it. Bands from late 90s early 2000s come to mind upon hearing this single.

His acoustic slowed rendition of "Blister in the Sun" (originally by Violent Femmes), is a must hear. This single perfectly captures the soul of Anders and his versatility as an artist. It's a beautiful twist on the high-energy hit.

Jeff Peters, who mixed four of Anders' releases, remastered the songs compiled for his 2016 release, Big World Abide: The Best of Eric Anders and both Jeff and Anders are pleasantly surprised with the outcome. A mix of songs that showcase his journey, vulnerability, both personally and professionally. The album delivers cohesive flow throughout this transition and growth personally, mentally, as well as career-wise. Currently he is working on his next release with Mark O'Bitz and Matt Brown, however, fans will have this complete album to hold them over till the next one!
