Kazan Beverly Hills - Serving Unrivaled Soba Noodles on Restaurant Row
Known as the "pinnacle of noodles" Kazan Beverly Hills is serving up dishes that are far from average. Located on La Cienega on Restaurant Row, Kazan Beverly Hills brilliantly highlights both Japanese and American culture in each and every dish.
Established in 2019 by Chef Ryu Isobe of Tatsu Ramen, Kazan has created an innovative take on an instant classic. Although the menu is pretty straight forward, not to mention pricey, Kazan Beverly Hills offers a stellar bowl of noodles - soba noodles that is.
It's not everyday that you pay over $20.00 for a bowl of noodles, however when you do it's best to make sure it's from Kazan Beverly Hills and it'll be a trip well worth every penny! Everything is made from scratch daily and the focus is of course the Japanese style Soba noodles.
The menu is composed of a few starters such as: shrimp tempura, shrimp and pork wontons, teriyaki chicken leg, edamame, shishito peppers to start. There are specialty items such as A5 Wagyu Beef, and lamp chops, but the true winners of the menu are of course - the noods, of which are created perfectly!
As an individual who pays attention to texture, the Soba noodles are sheer perfection. Created with immense detail and consistency, the Soba noodles at Kazan compliment the broths and bring the flavors to the forefront. The number 7, "lamb in lava", is the house specialty and comes complete with intricate layers of flavors. The end result is otherworldly!
The spice level is intense, but not too intense to where you can't appreciate the complexity before you. One whiff of this broth and it'll have you hooked. It's fragrant, spicy, and delicious. Topped with cilantro, peppers, and a few lamb chops simmering in the middle -- what more can you ask for?!
The #3 is basically a bowl of hugs! It's a velvetty smooth, cream-based decadent broth sprinkled with hints of truffle. Filled with hirauchi noodles, this bowl is topped with white onions and homemade wontons this bowl gives you a bit of everything.
In the end, is Kazan truly the "pinnacle of noodles"? I’ll be honest, for us Angelenos it's pretty darn close!
