Alice Kitchen – A New Chic Stylish Eatery in Weho

There's a new eatery that needs to be on your list for brunch destinations.  Alice is a stylish marketplace and indoor/outdoor café (designed by H.wood collaborator John Sofio of Built, Inc.) located at 1 Hotel West Hollywood recently opened it’s doors and it’s fulfilling ALL of your restaurant needs!

Sitting outside is key at this chic eatery as there is a stellar view right past the outside seating. Alice prides itself upon its seasonal French-American fare that highlights locally-sourced ingredients.

Food Creations are overseen by Chef Lord Maynard LLera (The h.wood Group Culinary Director, Formerly Bestia Alum) and Alice’s Chef de Cuisine Chef Geter Atienza (Formerly of Broken Spanish) have brought a multi-layered menu of palatable offerings for each time of day.

The breakfast burrito is one of their top sellers for morning eats. Packed with scrambled eggs, salsa roja, avocado, bacon, and potatoes, this is easily the item that gives you more bang for your buck. However, in terms of originality I opted for the brioche french toast topped with whipped cream fraiche and stewed figs. The scramble was top-notch. Buttery, fluffy scrambled eggs topped with caviar and served with toast - need I say more?!

For lunch, there are a few notables that piqued my interest. The chopped salad was beyond picturesque and flavorful! Comprised of white cheddar, pancetta, provolone, avocado, smoked turkey, pickled baby corn, champagne-herb vinaigrette, this salad is a must. Most entrées at Alice are encouraged to be shared, so you can try a bit of everything!

Cocktail Creations by Justin Campbell (The h.wood Group Bar Director, Formerly of Girl & a Goat, Publican Anker) created a worldwide cocktail menu that pays homage to LA's famed farmers markets! The Beverly Hills (belvedere vodka, cucumber, black pepper, rosemary, lemon, and aquafaba) was my favorite. It's refreshing and is pure summertime in a glass!

Over in the marketplace, expect to find artisanal wines, dinner party-ready charcuterie boards, a raw oyster bar, and grab-and-go sandwiches and chopped salads. Alice is your go-to for when you don’t quite know exactly what you want. The inviting décor, the chic marketplace, and the robust flavors of dishes offered are what will make this restaurant a neighborhood favorite.  Click HERE to see our other favorite restaurants.
