Many recognize her as 'Charlotte Sometimes', from the second season of NBC's 'The Voice', however Jessica Charlotte Poland, is just getting started and has not only re-branded herself, she continues to be the raw, unapologetic, individual in the forefront that we know and adore.

Jessica Poland goes by the stage name 'Charlotte Sometimes', which has been dictated from a children's book which was written in 1969 by Penelope Farmer. Charlotte Sometimes delivers a very folk-pop feel who is in her own world and somewhat a lone wolf. Charlotte gained fame in her teens when she released Waves & The Both of Us (with the hit single "How I Could Just Kill A Man") on Geffen RecordsNow, she's re-inventing herself as an indie-pop songstress ala Brandi Carlile or Aimee Mann.

Charlotte has been training with the best of the best, such as Don Lawrence, whose credits include elites such as Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga, Bono, and more. "Don taught me everything I know," Charlotte explains. Perseverance and of course her undeniable talent allowed her to land gigs and even landed her on NBC's The Voice.

"Being on 'The Voice' and working with Blake Shelton was a great experience, explains Charlotte. I took home a lot of encouraging feedback and inspiration from it."

In addition to Charlotte Sometimes, this artist is also creating another persona, Laces, which is a very robust, dark, challenging character in which she speaks with authority and creates a new presence. She has described herself as a 'meathead artsy chick', that is basically cool for normal people yet the guilty pleasure for artsy people. Collaborations regarding 'Laces' will be out by the end of the year. Keep checking her website for updates.

However, lucky for us Charlotte just released By Request and has been receiving massive buzz. She will be performing in Los Angeles in Room 5 on Friday, April 11th at 9PM.

By Request was recorded live in one day at NYC's Cutting Room Studios and features intimate acoustic recordings of fan favs from Charlotte's extensive catalog. It also includes an amazing duet with Coley O'Toole of We The Kings, "Losing Sleep."  Listen here, to get a sneak peek at what you're in for!
